Michael Gruccio

Michael Gruccio helps political committees, exempt organizations, and for-profit companies navigate the complex framework of ethics and political law governing their activities. Throughout his career, Mike has worked with clients to understand, develop, and implement efficient strategies to ensure full compliance with the highly-varied network of state and federal campaign finance, tax, lobbying, and ethics rules that regulate each organization.

Mike has advised major corporations and some of the country’s largest exempt organizations on how to create and manage strategies for complying with political financial activity rules and regulations. He has also assisted political candidates, campaigns, and advocacy organizations of every size and budget with drafting and review of effective vendor agreements that highlight the specialized needs of compliance within the political law framework.

Mike has directly managed procedures for collection and organization of sensitive internal client data. Through this work, he has aided clients in developing appropriate strategies for management of their data to simultaneously achieve their objectives while satisfying all legal obligations. When necessary, Mike has participated in the research, drafting, and production of client responses to administrative agencies at all levels of state and federal government.

In addition to his political law practice, Mike has previously worked for political campaigns to develop and implement targeted digital messaging. As part of his responsibilities, Mike has assisted federal campaigns for the U.S. House of Representatives, U.S. Senate, and served on the digital team for Mitt Romney’s 2012 Presidential campaign. Mike began his political experience as an intern in the Executive Office of the President of the United States where he served on the correspondence team of Vice President Dick Cheney.

Mike lives in Alexandria, Virginia where he has organized donation efforts to support the local animal welfare league and is an avid fan of Washington, D.C. sports.
