Casey Stafford provides strategic advice and guidance to elected officials, candidates, political committees, corporations, trade associations, nonprofits, and donors on all aspects of their participation in the political process. She has substantial experience working with clients to develop strategies to comply with federal and state laws governing campaign finance, government ethics and gifts, and lobbying registration and disclosure.

Before joining The Gober Group, Casey served as Deputy General Counsel to the Republican Governors Association (RGA). In that role, she advised the RGA on a full spectrum of political law issues and corporate compliances issues, including: advising staff on campaign finance, election, and ethics issues under state and federal law; drafting contracts, agreements, warranty letters, and responses to administrative proceedings; overseeing the formation, registration, and reporting of political action committees and independent expenditures under state and federal law; approving polls, advertisements, and press releases; drafting filings for affiliate social welfare and political organizations to retain tax exemption; consulting with outside counsel regarding litigation; and advising senior staff on employment, cybersecurity, and intellectual property matters. Prior to working for the RGA, Casey gained invaluable Capitol Hill experience working for the U.S. Senate Appropriations Committee.
